MS Dhoni-The Untold Story Gets a mixed response

MS Dhoni-The Untold Story

MS Dhoni-The Untold Story

Much eagerly awaited MS Dhoni-The Untold Story has been released & it has so far driven mixed response from film critics and general audience.

Directed By: Neeraj Pandey

Star Cast: Sushant Singh Rajput, Anupam Kher, Rajesh Sharma, Bhumika Chawla, Kumud Mishra, Kiara Advani, Disha Patani

Much to the surprise of the audience as everyone wanted to see what Dhoni felt under extreme pressure situations in high tipped encounters, it came out as a series of events as they happened in his life, from his childhood to all the way into the cricket team. It also didn’t explain his relations with fellow team mates & his controversy with Sehwag, Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid or in other words the senior players of the team.

But still as a all round movie it has got the punch in good cricketing scenes with all the fervour of reality in them with Dhoni winning the 2011 one day world cup with a huge hit off Nuwan Kulasekara’s bowling. Childhood scenes also have been liked by the public in which Anupam Kher his father is portrayed as advising Dhoni to focus on his studies & to find even a small job as a far better option than playing sports. How after doing exactly that by becoming a Railways employee he is still unsatisfied & single handedly tries to pursue his big sports dreams finding some comfort from his Mother & Sister. Two short Romances in Priyanka & Sakshi come in quick succession one after the other.

MS Dhoni-The Untold Story

In a nutshell it portrays Dhoni as an ideal character showing his struggle from a small town to success path. Mostly critics have given it 3/5 stars much attributed to Sushant’s best cinematic performance so far & other because of the inspirational value carried by the story.

So Neeraj Pandey’s Biopic is still a go for cricket fans & Mahi as well with punchline “Mahi Maar Raha Hai”…

Sachin Tendulkar

The Master Blaster Mumbai Batsman the name in itself is so big that requires no further explanation of this great personality. Not just a brilliant and talented batsman but also shares some other mysterious facts you might still be unaware of. So here’s a list of a few of them about Sachin Tendulkar(Wikipaedia link) which can take you by surprise at first:-

  3. Lady Luck- Sachin’s wife Mrs. Anjali Tendulkar never liked to eat or drink while Sachin used to be playing at the cricket pitch. She felt too nervous to see his husband play live and was much interested in watching his recordings later on.
  4. Plain Game- This is pretty strange but our batting hero didn’t even have a sponsor for his bat before he played in 1996 world cup. So there was nothing to decorate Master Blaster’s bat and he was left with a simple and unadorned bat to smack bowlers all over the stadia.
  5.  Who is Harry Potter??- Well this appears to be the case with Famous Hollywood Actor Daniel Radcliffe. Despite being an ardent fan of Sachin he didn’t recognize him when he wanted an autograph of his during Lord’s test in 2007. Humble Sachin never saw recognized him as he never even looked up as was the event narrated by the world known actor himself later on.
